Sustainable program

We combine modern, effective academia with practical, real-life learning experiences. Our approach fosters independent thinking, promotes sustainable living, and allowing children to thrive in any situation while cultivating a worldly perspective that appreciates life and beauty.

Plastic Detox and Plastic Recycle Program

We believe children need to understand both the problem and the solution. While we encourage them to avoid using plastic whenever possible, we also prepare them for the reality: our world is already filled with plastic waste. That’s why we created a meaningful program – partnering with a trusted plastic recycling company – where children learn real, practical skills. They transform discarded plastic into useful items like chairs, tables, art pieces, keychains, and many more. It’s not just about recycling – it’s about building awareness, taking responsibility, and inspiring creative solutions.

Zero-Waste Mindset & Waste Sorting for Children

At Bali Earth School, children learn to live with a zero-waste mindset.
We believe it’s time to shift how we talk about waste. Instead of saying, “throw it away,” we help children understand that there is no “away.” Even if trash is sometimes unavoidable, much of it can be reduced, reused, or turned into something meaningful—for ourselves or for others.

We guide our children in the importance of responsible waste management through daily practices of sorting and recycling. Waste is separated into organic (for compost), plastic, paper, and common kitchen items like food packaging, wrappers, or leftover food.
Organic scraps are composted and returned to the earth as nutrient-rich soil for our school garden. This hands-on experience connects children to nature’s cycle and shows them that waste can be transformed into something valuable.
Through mindful waste habits, children develop a deep sense of care for the planet and an understanding of the important role they play in protecting it.

Biodynamic Farming

As an official member of the Indonesia Biodynamic Association, Bali Earth School integrates biodynamic farming into our sustainability program. We believe that farming is not just about growing food—it’s about fostering a deep relationship with nature.
Our kids actively engage in soil care, composting, and planting, following natural rhythms such as lunar cycles to cultivate healthy, chemical-free food. By using biodynamic principles, they learn how to regenerate the land, enhance soil fertility, and create a self-sustaining ecosystem.
This approach nurtures not only the environment but also the children’s sense of responsibility, patience, and appreciation for the earth’s natural cycles. Through hands-on experience, they develop a profound understanding of where food comes from and why mindful farming is essential for a sustainable future.

Hydroponic Farming

Bali Earth School explores alternative methods of growing food beyond traditional soil-based gardening. Our hydroponic system is ideal for children—especially those from urban areas—who want to learn about gardening in limited spaces.
Through hands-on experience, our kids learn the entire plant cycle—from seedling to harvest—while gaining an understanding of sustainability and water conservation.
By integrating hydroponics into our learning, we equip children with essential life skills and inspire them to explore innovative, sustainable farming practices.

At Bali Earth School, we don’t just teach about nature,

We learn from it!
